Description
Scarleh Fer Yer Ma Fer Havin’ Ya, an Irish spoken word group, commissioned me to create a visual identity for their monthly event.
The name of the group (translated from Hiberno-English roughly as "I'm embarrassed for your mother for giving birth to you") and premise of their event (which involved participants telling stories and reading embarrassing letters from their past) inspired the resulting design.
Features
- The design prominently features a bright scarlet red, reflecting the use of the colour in the group's name.
- Russian dolls represent mother and her child, mother's cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
- Hand-drawn elements give the logo a soft homegrown appearance.
