Description
[Lautschrift], a German/English language literary magazine, was looking for a simple bold logo to represent their magazine.
The name ‘Lautschrift’ is a play on words in German, meaning both ‘phonetics’ and ‘loud writing’. This double meaning inspired the logo I designed.
Features
- My design justaposes two commonly used symbols, the megaphone and the inkblot.
- Loud: the megaphone represents bold, proud and public self-expression.
- Writing: the inkblot represents the creative process and the written word.
